Travelling to Shimla

Hi, Here I am sharing you my personal Experience. :)

I planned to visit Shimla, Kullu-Manali and Dalhousie.I started my journey with Shimla. For that I need to catch the train which is from Baroda and I am living at Ahmedabad. (i.e. because so much rush and tickets are not available so). Book tickets in tatkal(Special Quota). Catch the train. And we reach at Pathankot (Station Name).

Day 1: Took taxi from the station which we booked earlier. Taxi is very convenient because Private Buses / Govt. Buses take much time. So, you don't have to waste your time into that.
Rich Shimla in noon. Then take rest. And then evening go out for the shopping and watched market and church (Which is well known in Shimla). There is a lot of parking problem because of tourism attraction place and capital of the Himachal Pradesh. Tip: Book hotel which provide parking facility in free. :)

Day 2: Next day, Going for local near sightseeing place called kufri . Where you need to hire horse rider. So do bargaining as much as you can. Gov. Charges are fix if someone charging more than fixed charge then called tourism department. :) Tip: Pass maximum time there.. :) other places are not so good so.

Day 3: Now going, Shimla to Kullu-Manali. Distance between Kullu- Manali is 23 km. One thing remember while you are going select the day time... Because the natural beauty on the way is amazing. You will like it. :) On the way we did River Rafting. River Rafting means boat riding in cool water of Bias River. We reach in the evening to "Manali" and take the rest and outing for the shopping. Atmosphere was too chilled you can't live without jackets. Tip: Must take thermal wear. Because temperature may be -1 to 1 degree.

Day 4: Local sigh seeing at the Manali. Where there you can find sport adventurers called paragliding. Paragliding will be the most amazing experience you will ever feel. :) And other places are good like vashist temple.  Tip: Do bargaining for paragliding. And don't purchase anything from the market when the way returning from the vashist temple. Pashmina shawl's and all... :)

Day 5: Going to purchase warm clothes, shawls and woolen clothes at Kullu. Where you will find many factories of the producing woolen clothes. And in the evening local bazar (Market) time pass. Ice cream is their specialty much enjoy it because in chilled weather you might don't think on that but must have to experience it. :) :) :)

Day 6: The way to go from Manali to Mcleodgaj 10km from Dharmshala. This place is famous for Dalai Lama Temple... :). We took night stay there. There is also Cricket Stadium called Dharmshala Cricket ground. Amazing view. Stadium is surround with the hills around it. Amazing and Awesome view.

Day 7: Going Mcleodganj to Dalhousie.  Note that you will have more time in travelling so be ready for that. Because Hilly area maintain speed of 40Kmph maximum. We reach in evening and where we took rest. :)

Day 8: Next Day, Local sigh seeing there. One of the most beautiful placed called Mini Switzerland or Indian Switzerland. Pass time there. And enjoy the atmosphere there as much as can. Tip: there is nothing to watch or roaming in the market. So you feel boring. Spend maximum time on sightseeing in Dalhousie.

Day 9: Now, Time to came back home. :) Means returning home. We have to catch training from Chakki Bank station. :) Again we catch it and enjoy the trip. Chakki bank is 70km aways form Dalhousie. So, journey may took 3hr to drop you at the station.

TIPS:
1. Must book tickets from the net. Must do bargaining as much as you can.
2. Book advance ticket of train.
3. Don't prefer connectivity in train. Because train may be late so you may be miss out.
4. Carry out some food if you are pure veg.
5. Don't put so much trust on any person. Not even taxi person or anyone... :)

Happy and Safe Journey. If this information is relevant to you then must comment. Thank you
